Loop labels / Jewellery labels with loop
Jewellery labels with loop or loop labels are the most versatile shape among our jewellery labels. With it practically all kinds of jewellery pieces can be labelled. Marking takes place in a label printer, usually a thermal transfer printer, especially when barcodes are used. Marking by hand is possible. Shapes especially suitable for handwriting are highlighted separately.
Please pay attention to this icon for manual marking:
What makes the loop so special
The loop is generally glue-free over its entire length, except for the tip. So you can be sure that no glue sticks to the jewellery and contaminates it. In addition, the label remains movable after application. If a firm fit is expressly required, our loop labels can also be supplied completely glued. For higher priced jewellery we recommend loop labels with transparent loop. They look particularly discreet and show a piece of jewellery to its best advantage.

Top Seller Loop Label
- Diversity in 7 groups
Loop labels are particularly popular with our customers. The product range of eXtra4 Labelling Systems therefore offers loop labels in many shapes and sizes.Usually loop labels have 2 rectangular labelling fields, which are arranged either under each other or next to each other.
Group Mini
Labelling field height less than 8mm
The Mini group includes loop labels whose labeling fields are less than 8 mm high. The labeling fields can be arranged either one below the other or next to each other. For loop labels of the Mini group we recommend thermal transfer printers with at least 300 dpi resolution. The use of barcodes is usually not possible here for space reasons.
Group Small
Labelling field height from 8mm, less than 10mm
In the Small group, we have combined loop labels whose labeling fields are between 8 and 10 mm high. The labelling fields can be positioned either one below the other or next to each other. We recommend marking loop labels of the Small group in a thermal transfer printer with at least 300 dpi resolution.
Group Standard
Labelling field height from 10mm, less than 12mm
Loop labels of the Standard group are the most popular with our customers. The height of their labelling fields is between 10 and 12 mm. The labelling fields can be arranged next to each other or one below the other. The Standard group of loop labels is suitable for thermal transfer printers with a resolution of 200 dpi or higher. Even when barcodes are used, they offer sufficient space for additional texts.
Group Big
Labelling field height over 12mm and larger
The Big group contains loop labels with labelling fields from 12 mm high and larger. The labeling fields are positioned either one below the other or next to each other. This label size enables the printing of EAN-13 barcodes in standardized size.Even loop labels of the Big group are suitable for thermal transfer printers of the desktop class with a maximum web width of 110 mm. Only in exceptional cases must a device with a larger web width be used due to its shape.
Group Special
Unusual shapes
The Special group consitsts of loop labels with special shapes. For example, labelling fields also have round shapes, are positioned crosswise, not lengthwise to the loop, form a kind of booklet after folding, have perforations for tearing off or have punched holes. There are many possibilities for deviations from the standard. The suitability of loop labels from Special group for certain types of thermal transfer printers must be clarified in detail. Let us advise you!
Group slimLINE
for slim label printers
The slimLINE group includes loop labels which are particularly designed for use in thermal transfer printers with a narrow design and a maximum web width of 60 mm. The labelling fields are not next to each other, but below each other. The printable area remains unchanged.Folded and applied, slimLINE loop labels cannot be distinguished from conventional shapes. Since they are folded on the long side instead of the narrow side, handling is faster and easier. Of course, slimLINE labels can also be used in thermal transfer printers with larger web widths.
Please see brochure slimLINE starter package:
The complete slimLINE range from stock with more than 50 different
shapes also includes other types of labels.
Group Handwriting
for marking by hand
Basically, our loop labels on rolls for use in thermal transfer printers can also be marked by hand. How well this works and how long the marking lasts depends on the writing utensil used. If you want to be sure that loop labels can be easily written on by hand and that the writing is in any case smear-resistant, use our permanent markers and our loop labels made of special material and zigzag-folded.Self-adhesive jewellery labels with fastening loop
for the marking of jewellery of any kind
How to close loop labels correctly
The loop is placed around the piece of jewellery and glued with the tip into one of the labelling fields, before the other labelling field is folded in and glued over it. Make sure that the loop is not closed too tight so that the jewellery label cannot open again due to the restoring forces of the material. Please pay attention to our video tutorials or to our illustrated instructions.
Loop labels with extra long loops are therefore available for rings, bracelets or bracelets with large widths.
How to use loop labels as tags with thread
Where the application of a loop is not possible or desired, the loop label can still be used. You simply cut the loop and make a tag out of it. One of our pre-knotted threads on the roll is placed in the fold of the labelling fields before it is folded. The thread can then be attached to any piece of jewellery.
Please pay attention to our illustrated instructions.
How to use loop labels as versatile adhesive labels
Alternatively, it is possible to use the loop label without loop simply as an adhesive label. For this purpose, the labelling fields are sticked on directly. If space is limited, such as on a pads for ear studs, the labelling fields can also be separated. If the label should be easy to remove despite strong adhesive, for example from plastic surfaces, a suitable label with removable adhesive can be used as base. Please pay attention to our illustrated instructions.
